HE IS MY FRIEND [removed -- VP]! WHY SHOULDNT I BE ABLE TO PLAY WITH HIM? I CANT EVEN PLAY UNRANKED WITH HIM.. OMG. CHANGE THIS STUPID THING. HE IS MY FRIEEEEEEEEND!!! O RIGHT? THIS IS SOO ANNOYING. WHO CARES ABOUT RATING IN 3 DAYS GAMES ANYWAY? I COULD BEAT CARLSEN IF I HAD 3 DAYS TO THINK. OK? MAKE IT ATLEAST AVAILABLE TO PLAY UNRANKED WITH HIM. THIS IS SO SILLY!!

Your friend's settings are likely set in a way that won't allow your challenge. They will need to change something to allow it or challenge you instead (if you settings are sufficiently open).
