Why is a post about nicotine still up in the Off Topic Forums?
Why do moderators tolerate vulgar language like "Go back to m.......ing into your socks"?

I did. But the mod there says it doesn’t violate Community Policy but me and a whole other lot of people don’t think drugs should be talked about on this site.

All sounds like a poorly designed system.
But as long as we're getting new flairs, bells and whistles, it's all good. Yes they can do more than one thing at once but we fear the priorities are reversed.
We've been here before many times and here we are again.

Don't know why this post got downvoted. Let the bunny fix that.
But mods are volunteers who work for free, the only cost is their time and mental health.
Lower your expectations and live at peace with yourself. Moderators can only do as much while the site traffic/content is huge, let alone some of the medieval rules the site enforces by default, that won't allow you to even talk about certain things in the forums.
As any other business, under the pretext of passion or not, the site is not designed to please at an individual level, but to make everything work as a whole, for everyone, while the money keeps flowing. Want more moderators or employees? That will translate into more ads or more expensive memberships.
The site is flawed, while also having a lot of awesome content. Still feeling displeased? Don't give your money for membership. This is the language they understand best. Long term, it works better than reporting system. In the end, you are also part of the product, by your simple presence here, providing others a partner to play with. Peace.
