Hello I am trying to get back into chess, this is the second time this year that I have tried. I have found out that some of the people that I work with play chess on occastion and we are of equal skill level from what I have seen, It just that I have a lack of experience since I havent played in a while. I dont want to play for lessions and I am still debating getting premium membership

(did it earlyer in the year and it was worth it.)

Im just looking for someone that will play some casual chess with me as well as help me out with getting learning the game more.

I would help but im still learning as well. There are some chess books that you can read that teaches you moves as well so you can understand the concept of many openings with its variations.

Plus, youtube helps me a lot.

I use YouTube chess lectures and game analysis as a tool for improvement. My weakest point is that I fail to see potential checkmate.I have made that a priority for improvement.I always advocate chess.com's training facilities ( ie.chess mentor/tactics training ) These are good aids if a player is seeking to improve their playing skill.

Ill check that out, right now Im just lookign for someone to play with reguraly becasue, I guess you can say I have latter anxiety and its hard for me to get into playing online steadily unless I know what I did wrong or I understand how to improve myself every game.

My suggestion is to spend some time analysing every game that you lose. That way you can avoid making the same mistakes, or at least make them less often.

I'm not sure how you do it, but you can play "unrated" games. It takes a lot of pressure off. I'm playing a gal now who just wants to explore openings, so she's playing a lot of unrated games.

I think you just have to play a bunch and review your games, especially your loses. Easy to do on this site.
