Will V3 have live 960 ?

I just had a hankering for 960 blitz. I also realized this would be harder to cheat than standard.

@Owner/Staff

I think live 960 would be a great addition to the site. I think blitz and bullet versions of the game would be absolutely fun. I would actually laugh at my blunders in 960 bullet chess.

Please update site to add functionality for 960 to live games .....chess 960 is increasingly popular

I hope we will have an option to choose either v2 or v3.

V3 doesn´t add any new feature.

It only removes characteristics that it already had, users lose functionality.

So... don´t expect 960.

Care to explain? Seems I was left out about this whole V3 thing.

A long, long time ago Erik promised that V3 would have live 960 and bughouse too!  Will it make the final cut considering his goal of making V3 a leaner more efficient app?  Who knows...

Are there new features included?

From a web-user’s point of view, there are several new features that are waiting for V3 to be in place so we can get them in front of you, but for the most part, no. Our initial push is to get all existing features available in V3. Mind you, many of the interface improvements themselves may seem almost “new-feature” good. And we do have a variety of gorgeous, high-res visual Themes that will be available as soon as V3 launches.

On the other hand, if you’re an app user, V3 means a lot of new functionality, as we’ve already seen with Android. Messages, Friend profiles, Game Archive, Articles, Forums and Lessons (Chess Mentor): All of this and more is available in our V3 apps for Android and (soon) iOS.

Will any features be removed?

Yes. One of the goals of this project is to make Chess.com a leaner, more elegant site, with less old (and mostly unused) code to maintain as we move forward. So, with much deliberation and careful attention to our web-traffic analytics, we made some cuts: Photos, Chessopedia, Endless Quiz, Downloads, “Local” club & event directories, and Shop Online.

Theme customization isn’t going away, but it is dramatically simplified (see below).

It actually looks the same on my friend's android tablet already.

Well, I wouldn't mind the changes if the android app works the way it is now, I just want to access the actual pages, forums, and articles from my smartphone, and not just playing on it.
As it is now, the forum conversation and article texts are all over the place, and never seem to fit on the screen, but playing correspondence works well except for a few bugs that sometimes happen if I pass over 80 games.
Live chess is a bit weird, though, sometime my clock still runs after I made my move and stuffs like that, but I'm sure it's just a visual glitch caused by wi-fi connection.

I only access with a laptop, so I haven´t had any of those problems.

I hope they make an effort to deliver a good app, because at least they get the ad revenue they miss out when people enable adlocks. That doesn't work on a phone or tablet, so we would both win at the end.

#7 oh god... I'm 95% sure I will leave chess.com. UndecidedFoot in Mouth
