Your Worst Tilt

About a month ago, I had the worst tilt of my life.  I dropped about 220 ratings points in the span of about a week.  It took me several weeks to climb back up.  I was used to tilting 40 or so points right after reaching a new high, but this was something else.

What is your worst tilt?  Can anyone top 220 points?

I don't remember the exact numbers, but at some point, I went from something in the 1600s in rapid to something below 1350 when some dumb stuff was going on at that time with my friends.

Mid March I hit 952. A few days ago I was 747. 773 right now. So not quite 220, only 205 drop. Bad enough.

Mine was a similar experience: I had just hit 936 and I dropped all the way down to 715. I was thinking of going to the doctor to get a brain scan, but I have recovered my rating happy.png

I've also tilted over 200 points before, I was thinking of seeing a neurologist because I couldn't stop blundering.

Yeah. I reached 1500 in bullet and then preceded to drop all the way down to about 1200 in the space of about a week or two. Had taken me so long to get to 1500 too! Problem is, if I’m losing I have to stop when I’ve won at least won but on one particular occasion I think I lost 11 in a row. Most of them stupid mistakes too. 😫😫

A puzzle tilt, I tilted from 1800 to 1700, climbed up to 1850-ish, then dropped again back down to 1750, I'm too scared to play puzzles now.

Reached personal high in rapid at 1512 on May 5.
Went down to 1290 within 4days...
When mentioned to fellow Chess friend, he told me it's called tilting, which was the first time I learned this term after googling....
I have just climbed back up to 1500 yesterday, and is so afraid of starting another game

I tilted on puzzles and then went on a crazy streak after not caring. It seems when you take the pressure off it can actually help.

Temporary_Closed-backsoon

I tilted really bad on OTB, down 300 points out of nowhere

I've just tilted from 674 to 604. I don't know why. I just freaking forgot everything I learned in Avetik's course. All I do is blunder.

I think high summer heat and humidity may play a part. Hard to think.

My worst tilt was a rapid tilt,1164 down towards 909 in the span of less than a week. That 255 tilt was because I stopped playing chess.

Recently peaked at 2011 and went down to about 1800. Now I’m back at 1900. Need to teach myself to stop playing when tilted.
