2 Knights Checkmate

Ok so you know how the 2 Knights and King checkmate is impossible but the 2 Knights and king vs 1 pawn and king is possible? It’s because during the checkmate, you have to put the king in a “stalemate” and checkmate him on the next move. But if you put the king in stalemate without a pawn it’s stalemate and you draw. That’s why a two knights and king checkmate is impossible but a 2 knights and king vs 1 pawn and king checkmate is possible.

Here’s a tip with the checkmate: blockade the pawn with one knight and put the other knight directly below the knight blockading the pawn this creates a barrier from the opposing king, then chase the king with your king to any one of the corners assuming you have a center pawn then Perform a zigzag maneuver gaining the opposition and when their king is on the edge moving the knight blockading the pawn,
Eventually you want to repeat this cycle until the king has no moves at which point remove the blockade of the pawn and use the preciously blockading knight to deliver the final blow

Here is an example against a maximum bot

I also made a blog for all the steps in detail:

How to Checkmate with Two Knights vs One Pawn! - Chess.com

Two knights and king vs. king is not impossible. Very rare, but not impossible. It's been done with other pieces making forcing moves until the checkmate is only two knights. It's also been done by using ONLY the two knights and king. Nakamura did it with the opponents pawn still on the board, but the pawn played no part in the checkmate, he checkmated the opponent using only the two knights and king. Very rare, but it's not impossible.

Except for the times it's happened. It's impossible to force a checkmate with only two knights and a king, but it's not impossible to checkmate the opponent with only two knights and a king.

Chess is a game of constant mistakes. Even the very best players in the world make mistakes. As Nakamura (and others) proved, it's possible to checkmate using only two knights and a king, because like all chess players, the opponent made mistakes.

For example, in this position it's white to move and checkmate with ONLY two knights and a king.

Unless of course black wants to lose by two knights and a bishop and a king.

Would be even better if the bishop was on g7 and the f6 knight was somewhere else lol 😃

This is really difficult; it's impossible for a beginner like me to complete.
