Importance of the Lucena and Philidor

what i don't get is what's next?  I learned the lucerna and philidor positions... but can't seem to figure out how to progress with my rook endings... how does this apply when I have an outside passed pawn and a rook... it's easy if the rooks are off the board... but it seems like I can't convert if i have the advantage rooks on the board.

And a few more. Notice how similar each of these positions are. If you can master the subtleties and work out why some positions are drawn while others are winning, you will be ready to advance to more complex R+P endgames.
