It's a draw as the king and knight are in close proximity but in a situation where the knight is isolated from the king, the king and rook can trap the knight easily and then go for the lone king. I attach a link to illustrate.

In a king + knight versus king + rook endgame in a 'normal' postion like the one below, does the person with the rook win? i have been on the side of the knight once and lost, but did i play wrongly or is it a forced loss
