Hello all. Is there a name for this kind of king safety? I would like to find out some of the advantages and disadvantages of having this setup and playing against it. Currently, I'm reading Bobby Fischer Teaches Chess and it focuses a lot of checkmating against opponents who have 3 pawns in a row (row 2 or 7), but not this setup.
Hmm. Yes, that is a castled king and the bishop is fiachettoed.
I can't recall if "Bobby Fischer Teaches Chess" covered it but a search for fianchetto will pull up some useful info.
