Who do you think gave Silman the idea to make an endgame study book?, me obviously.

I also want to learn about the end game strategies.

Every player should learn very basic pawn endgames and two basic rook endgames: Lucena position (building the bridge) and Philidor position (sixth rank defense). You learn these and PRACTICE it against engine until perfection. And only then you should try to learn more complex endgames.

I've been struggling with endgames and the Silman book was recommended to me, but it's a huge book and I am wondering if anyone could recommend the best approach to using it. Would you just jump into the chapter of your rating level or start at the beginning or is there a way to really figure out the best way to begin?

I have the book I will definitely recommend you to use it, just try to complete it slowly. Instead of reading all the text just check the moves and you can check the text when you don't get the point of the move.

Start from the Introduction, Preface, and then Chapter 1. Worth it - Silman is great, just trust him to take you on the journey. 200+ rating point await you! GL!

Silmans endgames are rlly boring... it's just a pawn endgame...

Silman's book is organized into sections based on rating. The higher your rating goes, the more involved the concepts in the book get. He recommends studying for your level's section plus maybe some of the material in the next section if it's interesting to you, and then putting the book back on your shelf until you reach the next tier. Then get it out again and go through the next section.

Study one endgame everyday which makes 365 endgames in a year which will cover all endgames or do 2 or 5 a day.

Haha i just made a post about this book. Definitely start at the beginning, and work your way up. The beginning will definitely be easy at your level, but it still is just refreshing

Very good book.

Trouble is, it literally has something for everybody. Don’t end up paying for lessons too basic or too advanced for you.
