Very Hard Puzzle Level: Insane

Ke5 is the right move according to me. There are 2 sequences
Ke5, d6, Ke7 Nc6+, Kd7, and black's pawn is blockaded.
Ke5, Nb6, Be8, d6, Ke6, and black's pawn is freezed.
Am I correct?

This is an endgame study by Jindrich Fritz (a GM of composition), published in 1980, i.e. he created it without any computer assistance.
The solution's main line is 18 moves long and I've tested it with tablebases, which confirm it's sound at every stage except for a minor dual at move 14.
Solving this would be ridiculous – it's a huge challenge just to understand the given solution, even with tablebases to tell you how the wrong moves are refuted. The sweeping WB moves from h7 to b1 and back to h7 look wonderful, but how on earth are they forced??
hi!
