I am relatively new to this site. Why on earth do they call the game after 10 minutes? I've lost winning games and won losing games based on 'time'. That doesn't make sense to me.
Most chess games have a turn timer. You have a total of 10 minutes to make you moves. Run out of time and you lose. Most tournaments are played in this format
When looking for or creating a game there are options for how much time each player gets to make their moves. For example, you have 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1hour. If you want a longer time to play you have daily options so 1 day, 3 day, 7days. These all just mean how long you have to make your next move. In more advance games it is accumulative time.
