I started playing on Chess.com just over a month ago, here are some things I picked up on.

1. Chess is hard, maybe even the definitive puzzle game.

2. Doing chess puzzles with purpose has helped me improve.

3. Chess.com lessons are outstanding, wish I had these when I was a kid.

4. Rapid 10 minute is becoming my favorite.

5.  Having half dozen to a dozen daily games going lets me be able to play when I have a little bit of time to kill, they kind of become diy puzzles.

6. You win by checkmate, or by capturing the queen very early on and then your opponent resigns pretty quickly.

7. I learned what sandbagging is pretty quickly.

8. I forgot what eight is for.

9. Don't play for ELO, concentrate on improving.

10. Personal goal is to get above 40 percentile, I think 40-60 is where the average players that are trying is at.
