Delcai007 once again you don’t seem to understand, and it’s now clear that you are a chat troll. Let me repeat: this is not a discussion about how a beginner should improve. If you continue giving advice on how beginners should improve, I kindly invite you to move on to other threads where that topic is being discussed. Your stance on the website and your opinion have already been noted

surely there must be some general agreement among chess academies about how to guide beginners. That kind of basic orientation is simply not present on the site.

That's an exact quote, so you can't say I'm missing the point.

There is indeed a general agreement about how to guide beginners. And it's seen everywhere, nearly ad nauseum, not only on this site or in these forums but in this very thread, and not just once in this thread or by just one person.

delcai007 I’m not interested in playing those games. I’ve asked you to stop and I expect that to be respected

It's time for you to reevaluate is the point.

The whole thread is based on a misconception. Admit it.

But I promise to leave you alone as long as you don't repeat it or keep my interest in some other way.

Be well.

Felipe - yopu are so right in everything you say. This site is crying out for a study / route map .... they are relatively easy to contruct for the most complex of subjects.

I don’t know… I’m disappointed with Chess.com.

As a beginner, I find bits of theory and some exercises here and there, but there's no clear roadmap on how to truly learn.

I know, I should get a coach, but not everyone has that financial option. After paying for a full year of Chess.com, I'm seriously reconsidering whether to renew for another...

It's not much, but we could play unrated live chess for learning purposes sometime and I could give you some tailored advice based on your game(s). In the meantime, you may find this blog post I wrote years ago to be helpful:

It has a ton of resources at the bottom of the blog:
