Analyzing your games (and why the engine isn't enough)

I’ve been spending a lot of time lately looking at games in the 1000–1500 range, and I’ve noticed a pattern: most players rely way too much on the Stockfish "Evaluation Bar" without understanding the human reasons behind the mistakes.

As a FIDE-rated player (1679) who pushed my online Blitz to 2400+, I’ve realized that improvement doesn't come from memorizing engine lines; it comes from fixing your thought process.

I’m looking to work with a few dedicated students who want to move past "hope chess" and start playing with a real plan. I do my coaching via Google Meet because screen-sharing and real-time dialogue are much more effective than just typing in a chat box.

What I’m offering right now: If you're feeling stuck, I’m happy to hop on a quick 10-15 minute Google Meet call with you to look at one of your recent losses. No charge—I just enjoy the analysis and it helps me see if we’d be a good fit for regular lessons. Only valid for the first three players as I wanna focus on quality of the session rather than quantity of the players.

If you’re interested, add me as a friend here on Chess.com first. It’s the easiest way for me to review your game archives before we jump on the call so I can come prepared with specific advice for you.

Once you’ve sent the request, just drop a comment below or send me a DM and we'll set up the Meet!
