Bots vs Humans - what's the deal ?

Ok so - I just beat Nelly the latest Discord bot on the second go. She/he is rated 1700.  I am not !  Here's my game - I took a while to find a checkmate I know and there's a ridiculous checkmate I didn't find early on (that's my level, shoot me).

But my point is this ... I can play this bot and beat it, but my Rapid game vs. humans hovers between 475 and 525 ... I just make so many blunders.  Does anyone have any tips to actually go up in terms of level vs. humans ?  The discrepancy seems ridiculously huge between the two.

Should I get a coach ? I really want to improve my game but feel something is really missing !

Many thanks to anyone that reads and wish you all a great end to your week !

Best,

Francis.

PS. Here's my game vs. Nelly

Nice game btw…

I would suggest playing longer time formats (10-15 min), as you can look for blunders without losing on time, Reading a chess book is (in my opinion) nearly as good as getting a coach and it is generally cheaper. The only difference between bots and humans is that bots make more subtle threats. I you carefully check the board each move, you should gain rating very quickly.
