Well it was bittersweet on account of recent events. But I'm happy with how tonight's games went and I figured I would share this one since my opponent resigned on the 8th move in the first game I played. I've got to research the falkbeer and Vienna Gambit more. I've seen them a few times over the last few months and I feel I'm gonna need a repertoire against it.  I remember crashing down to my lowest rating of 376 or something when I first started. I never would have thought I'd have progressed as much as I have. And the truly awesome part, I'm not satisfied. I'm not even happy with how I played. I know I could play better. So it's really time to start studying hard and picking things up.

I struggled at 900 elo for weeks and in the month after hitting 1000 somehow I've been able to go on a heater and surprise even myself. But, as I stated before I know I can be better. My ultimate goal is 2000. And after 2100 I want to enter some OTB tournaments here where I live. Either way, I'm not going to stop playing and learning. I'm having too much fun and learning so much.

I have to thank my coach once again. I would not have progressed this quickly without him. Credit where it's due. Thank you, sensei. 🙏🙏🙏 Anyway here's a game from tonight. I hope the chess is treating you all kindly. Good vibes to all. 🙏

I have played the Vienna Gambit many times. It is meant to go 3...d5 4.fxe5 Nxe4 and then either 5.Qf3 (new main line) or Nf3 (old main line) or 5.d3 Oxford variation
