Chess Bots

So, I'm still trying different things with the bots, trying to hone my gameplay, and I was going through all of them one by one, got to the 1200 bot and felt it was really difficult but still played it. out of curiosity I tried literally the first bot, the 250, and its doing things I've never seen before, like pinning my knights into trapping my queen, mateing in 4, is it just that my game play got terrible, or did they tweek the bots??
You playing on Android by any chance? The bots were playing full strength; I've read it's fixed in the latest update.
I am playing Android, and they definatly feel full strength. and I did see there was an update but im not sure if it fixed anything
So have you tried the update? That's the only way to be sure...
I did update, and tried to play the 250 bot and got forked and he won my queen by turn 7. so, it may still be up there or I may be just letting my guard down casue in not paying attention
Maybe forks are a weak point? You could always head over to the puzzles and choose Custom which lets you work on whatever you want (unrated). Bang out a few dozen fork puzzles and maybe it won't happen again so easily. And of course paying attention is a very important chess skill...
Interesting. I think that has happened to me. I don't think it was very recently. The time I have in mind was when the computers were on a different setup though. All I can think of is that you (or we) got to lazy with the moves. Who knows!
I recently started to play with the first bot, and I can't win yet
So, i did find an update to the app, however in order for me to get it to actually apply, i just uninstalled and reinstalled the app, then rematched the bot, and now things seem to be working right.
