They could give Black a free candy bar - That sounds equitable to me...

It depends on who you are and your style. You might prefer starting with an attack as white or just retaliating as black. As the game progresses, the colour difference barely matters.

It is not unfair, it is your opinion

If their is no difference does someone want to explain why some grandmasters say they go for a draw with black, 😔

Top GMs can turn the tiniest of advantages into initiative, pressure, threats and eventually a more concrete advantage. So if you are playing black vs one of the world's best players, it may be wise to play for equality and keep the position drawish rather than plan a counterattack. You and I are unlikely to be playing many games with anyone of this caliber, so the extremely insignificant advantage of moving first makes no appreciable difference. The lower the level of play, the more irrelevant white's first-move advantage becomes.

You have somehow completely interpreted this wrong, the only time you would go for a tie is when you are losing. In this case the gm is losing to black, where was the major advantage? You accidentally dismantled your argument without realizing it. People like you are the reason why they put safety warnings on table saws.

You are misunderstanding. GMs tend to go for draws with the black pieces, as they are at a high enough caliber to exploit the “first move advantage.” Of course, they can win if they want, but it is easier to attain a draw.

Do you mean “systemic”?

I find it hard to believe that a gm would be such a coward, and go for a draw just because it is easier than actually winning

There is no cowardice in that. They do it to get .5 and winning with white is easier.

You don’t have to believe that, but it is true.

I wouldn't say white even has an advantage, it's purely physiological, and based on your playstyle, you might find yourself having to be more defensive for black while sneaking a few traps for white while being aggressive when you're white, some people just can play 1 style and feel weird when shoved into a playstyle that they aren't used to, play bongcloud against a GM to see what I mean.

Black should start with extra Queen in place of a Pawn to make it fair

An extra queen? White's advantage is literally less than 1/3 of a pawn. Nice idea.

May be black should have an extra pawn that can't eat or else an extra pawn that can't move whithout eating.

Op should tie to play synchronous chess variant or Spartan chess as HG Muller says it'smor balanced than FIDE.
