coaching

Before all the hungry chess coaches jump on the thread and start to advertise their services, I want to say that in my opinion a coach will not benefit you (or any beginner for that matter). Everything you need to improve to at least 1500 (and higher) can be found for free online. Everything can be done by you without outside help. Few coaches would ever tell you this. I find it upsetting when they blatantly lie to complete beginners, and exaggerate their importance, i.e. if you want improvement, get your credit card ready!
Saint Louis Chess Club is probably the single best YouTube channel for informative Chess content, with hundreds of free lectures from titled players on a wide variety of topics.

You can do it like this:

Having stronger player definitely helps to improve your game as u gain more insight from stronger player.
Hiring a coach is more convenient, if you have free money to spend then u can go for it. If you are looking for the best price for value, then u might want to wait until u reach at least intermediate level.

I can offer the most competitive pricing online for coaching which is $15 an hour for 10 hours that's two and a half months of coaching for only $15 an hour I think coaching is worth your time because in my case I did it all on my own and I'm top 500 in the country I could suggest books processes videos products homework and much more if you like we can schedule a call with no obligation we can talk for an hour if you like I retired at age 30 and I live at home right now so I'm free for coaching
