Hello everyone..I am a beginner and new to the rules of the game..the opponent lost on account of time..I played black..my doubt is whether the placement of the rooks around the white king is a stalemate or not..I don't see the king in check or any legal moves..kindly explain

For the position to be a stalemate, white must have no legal moves on the board (and there is no check).

There is no check here, but white still has b3 pawn that can move forward, and he has a bishop that can move wherever, so this is not stalemate.

If he didn't have the bishop and he didn't have b3 pawn on the board, after black plays Rg4, it would be a stalemate (because h2 pawn is blocked and can't move and king can't go anywhere legally, plus it is not a check) .

By the way, you had checkmate in 1, Rh4# is checkmate if you play it instead of your move.
