e4 – The Best First Move?

I believe 1. e4 is one of the best ways to start a chess game. It immediately controls the center, opens lines for the queen and bishop, and often leads to sharp, exciting positions. Plus, it sets up well-known openings like the Sicilian and Ruy Lopez.
What’s your take on 1. e4? Do you prefer it or go for something else? Let’s discuss!
I will also prefer e4 but also play d4 somtimes.
According to Stockfish (or chess.com analysis) the best first move is d4. But the difference between them is so little, that it doesn't even matter. It's just the question of your playstyle, which form of game you prefer, and so on
