nice! but I have 2000
Finally Got To 1000

Congrats for 1000 games! I have had more than 2000 though
That's your next milestone
Considering how invested I am in this new tournament, that may be in a few days. :-)

This is my old account, so my combined total is probably around 1,725 games. But I remember when I first hit 1k, I was very proud of myself. Good work to you!

what new tournament?

Can you hit 1000 before I hit 5000 games? 😁
I might hit 3000 before you hit 5000 games
but I'm just assuming that could be the case

Nope
Not gonna hit 3000
But maybe 2500
before you hit 5000

Oh, I was about to congratulate you because of your new rating milestone, but nevermind.
There's no pride to be had in the number of games you've played.
If you've played over 1000 games and are still rated 600, you've clearly been wasting a lot of time.
The quantity of games means nothing if you're not learning anything from them. Perhaps you should spend more time studying and analyzing than just mindless playing.

That's a bit harsh. The guy enjoys chess, and may be rated 1000 at some point. This isn't a topic about improving.

It's always strange when someone claims to know more about me than I do, while displaying an inevitable lack of context. I do a lot of study/instructional stuff because it's almost impossible for me to learn. Literally. All I can do is encourage a manic state of wanting to perfectly describe the game. In the latest of those states I created chessnerd[.]net and its correspondingly (empty) YouTube channel. After devoting three days of non-stop intense concentration to the video project, I made slight progress in learning about the Italian Opening. That's the reason I'm usually in the 600s. The reason I have over a thousand games is because I devote about twelve hours a day, at least, to chess. Every day. Mostly study. But it's a binary, so I either do it or I don't do it, and I'd rather play chess. Playing the game means looking for ways to improve, however quickly.

Stop being mean dude
He might be just playing chess for enjoyment or he might be a beginner that is slowly improving
VERY SLOWLY improving
Now if I can get that for a rating, I'll really do well for myself.
That aside I still think it's a nice milestone.
