From 355 rating to 1044? rating in 3 months

Steven, thank you for that. I was just considering that since I use the silician defense. I have trouble when they play d4 then push their pawn to do. Ill have to study a new opening. If you have any recommendations for d4 please let me know.

and around my rating {1200} many people dont know how to counter d4 so u as white could play the london system.

Dutch!!!

Yeah I play the London and the Sicilian defense. I'm definitely gonna study the openings you guys suggested. Thanks

Keep it up! Took me over 5k games from 800 to 1300. I'd say from 1000 on wards it will be much more difficult as most of your opponents know the openings. Try to work on middle games or better yet end games which is truly the game changer.
I started playing chess this year beginning on February 28th and I had very basic knowledge of the game when I started. I played over 2700 games so far and when I havent been playing I've been studying. I have a handful of wins over people rated 1400 with the highest two wins at 1944 and 1925(although they were unrated games). I haven't been playing rated games as much right now so I'm not exactly sure what my rating is at currently.
The biggest bits of advice I can offer to people looking to improve would be the following:
*Play with longer time handles
*Take a break from actual games for a few days and strictly do puzzles.
*Work on not hanging pieces and reducing blunders
*Utilizing simplification
*Study one opening for white and one opening for black and get really good at them both. Check out chessable.com they have great lessons on there for free and will help improve your game so much. Chessable is actually what I attribute to getting from 900 to 1000+. Chessable shows you how to move your pieces in the openings and explains how to get your pieces coordinated so that you are setup to play a strategic middle game.
*Study end game tactics and end game checkmates
*Check out Johnathan Bartholomew's chess fundamentals series as well as his climbing the rating ladder series on youtube. John is an amazing teacher and he gives an amazing insight into the game and really breaks things down in a simple way. Also, Ben Finegold and Eric Rosen have great content on youtube and they are really great teachers as well.
I can't think of anything else right now but if I do I'll share it with you guys. Feel free to send a challenge or add me cause I'm always on here playing.
