Game Abandoned

What does it mean when the game ends as “game abandoned”? Did the other person quit? Does that count as a resignation win?

Thanks

Thank you. Are all of those examples considered resignations? Same for if a player quits mid game?

On a separate note...are there negative ramifications with 'aborting' games?

Sometimes the system matches me with players that give me +2 win and -14 loss.

I don't mind one or two of those games, but don't like getting stuck with a streak of games with all risk and no reward.

I am really discourage about the amount of unethical players here. I mean isnt chess about the challenge. Why so many people quit after losing a queen or not winning like thay want to so they just quit

If you abort too many times, you end up in abortion purgatory, and can only play other players who abort a lot of games until you have redeemed yourself.

Instead of aborting, set the rating of your seeks to only people who are equal or higher to yourself.

there is nothing 'unethical' about resigning. in fact, there are dozens of threads out there complaining about people who don't resign. so what are people supposed to do?
