Good reads about tactics

First post. But I have looked into other threads stating beginners shouldn’t focus in on openings and theory, and that tactics are better when starting out. I’m looking for good books to read and acquire some good knowledge on tactics. Thanks in advance!

Hi. Chess Tactics for Students by John A. Bain is a good book for beginners. It teaches the basic patterns such as pins, skewers, etc. so is a basic introduction. The same patterns are taught in the lessons and learning puzzles on here. But IMO Bain is more structured and some people prefer a book. Amazon have it. You can probably preview a chapter and read reviews.
