Best opening for beginners is:
1. Move your central pawn 2 squares
2.develop your knights
3.develop your bishops
4.castle
5.do not lose all your pieces

No it really doesn't, because without at least 1 proper opening this fails in 2024 at step 5.

If you want to beat people on 0-1000 play the catalan or the London system

#: mr. Ziggy, do you really think that your sentence makes any sense? Blundering pieces has absolutely nothing to do with theoretical knowledge. Let me tell you one story. About 30 years ago i played blitz tournament and in round 1 i was paired with GM Marek Vokáč. I played Najdorf and knew theory till move 13 or so. But in move 6 he played nontheoretical move Qd3 and beat me in miniature. After the game i asked him: “Why did you played that bad move Qd3, it is not in theory. He looked on me like on an idiot (which in fact i was) and tell me: “I beat you in few more moves, dońt i?”
