Hello I'm around 1000 rated noob and enjoys calculating and sacrificing pieces.

Of course only a few moves analyzed to be an excellent move.

So I'd like to ask you how you think about this 19.Nc6?? move.

In engine it says 4-point-losing blunder but after bxc4 dxc4 it isn't that bad position I think.

How about you?

I'm still inexperienced player and other various opinions will be welcomed.

19 Nc6? is a mistake that spoils your win.
The simple and good 19 Nd3 retains all of your advantage
19 Nc6? bxc6 20 dxc6 e5 looks equal.

ConfusedGhoul

it's a blunder, Black can grab that horse and would have nothing to fear. It's ok you like sacrifices but you have to calculate very accurately or you will lose a lot of games like this

Thanks for your advice.

  • In case of that I was going to trade rooks and push pawn to c7 and threaten the queen. How do you think of that?

Black would just capture on c7 and then white has to waste time bringing the bishop back

Nc6 is just a losing blunder as there isn't enough support on that side of the board for the passed pawn on c6 to do anything and black always gets e5 in, pushing the bishop back

Nd3 was much better, keeping your advantage

Thanks for replying.

I see.

It seems like, adventurous moves in chess aren't considered to be good moves.

Not really, you can play adventurous but that particular move was just a blunder
