Help me undeestabd why this is the best move

I am <1000 ELO (I'm rated higher right now but its because i have only completed 3 games and I got luvky. I think I am probably 850ish). In this game I am playing Black and on move 23 Villain kicks my knight (g3). I responded by moving it out of harms way (Ne6), but after the game was complete I loaded it into Smallfish and began reviewing my game. The recommended response to 23. g3 (by about 1.5) was Rd2.

I usually see WHY the best move IS the best move, but I am totally at a loss on this one. I am up a knight, but when Villain kicks my knight why is the best move to allow him to potentially trade a pawn for my knight?

Bro the pawn on g3 is pinned to the king by the queen. So, he can't capture your knight. Therefore, the suggested move is Rd2 as you are continuing your attack by developing a piece. By the move Rd2, you attack the pawn on b2 and make your attack on the kingside even more dangerous at the same time.
