So I have a tenuous relationship with Chess, I have played on and off over the years more out of intrigue enjoyment than playing seriously, but I have started trying to take it more seriously in recent months, but I feel like I have hit that dreaded 1000 wall, I can push past it for a game or two, and then find myself in the 900's again. So I am trying to work out what I can do to improve, I do tactics puzzles, I am slowly researching common openings so as to learn more but not overwhelm myself, I am subscribed to various YT chess channels, Gotham Chess, Eric Rosen, St Louis Chess Club, and John Bratholomew to name a few, I play as regularly as my RL schedule allows me (which can be tough running my own business), I'm playing typically at a 15|10 time control (I used to play 30 min games) I always play on pc, never on mobile, otherwise I get distracted or don't focus.
I've attached what a typical game looks like for me with the standard level of detail I normally go into when analysing a game, I did use an engine to analyse this game, but I tend to do an even split of game analysis with self analysis and analysis with an engine to look for things I missed.
I've got about 260 games played at this stage on Chess.com.
Is there something else I can be doing, or is it more a case of trying to get more games played under my belt
Wow, not bad on the analysis. I looked through it myself, not having checked through everything you said, and realized you covered much of what caught my eye. Effective usage of the computer here. Looking at this win it surprises me that you are struggling at 1000. Best guess is, while the opening things llama mentions are important, and you absolutely should do those, that your problem lies with tactics, such as the ones you overlooked in this game. The other major theme I usually see being hanging pieces.
All that said, this is from the perspective of a win you dug through well. I think what will be more instructive to finding the answers you are looking for is to find some close games or losses, which show off more of your weaknesses and make the answer to your question more clear.
