How Do I Get My Groove Back?

About a year ago I reached 700 ELO and I celebrated and even made a forum post. Life and stuff got in the way and I had to do things and long story short I stopped playing for about a year. Coming back, I expected to be rusty but man I swear 500 ELO players are a lot stronger than I remember. I tanked down to the 500s in one night and I don't know how I did it. How do I get my skill back?

I thought chess would be like riding a bicycle, apparently not.

My first win after coming back. I can see that if my opponent didn't blunder his queen, I probably would've lost this one. I'd rather not be playing hope chess hoping people blunder their pieces.

Try not to blunder and try longer time controls first like 10+10 before moving on to faster time controls. You need to calculate and try to look for tactics or combinations.
