How long did it take you to get an elo of 1000 in chess.

it took 9 years of very hard work and effort and countless non-nonalcoholic drinks to get from 1275 to 1000 and below. Maybe 2-3 months to recover from the 1000 illness

I started chess.com after I was 1000 otb so it didn’t take that long

Here? 1 day, first day rapid, blitz on and off now like 960 got to 1100 blitz. 1,000 here is nothing simply because theres so many players here. I think 2,000 would be a bragging point here, but again theres 1,000s here that are ranked over 2,000, so I think perhaps don't worry about elo at all imo.

I think I'm done with chess, this site has ruined my outlook on the game.
