My favourite kind of draw is by Timeout vs insufficient material

draws are fun, they're low-stress for both players. Forcing a stalemate is quite a nice thing to try to do sometimes, it requires a bit of thought. It should be a variety of chess.

How is it confusing? The 50-Move-Rule is wayyyy more confusing

Neither should be confusing. A time out draw requires knowing what insufficient material is. Once that is understood one should understand the outcome. When one side has sufficient mating material and the other does not - Lack of mating material times out loses. Sufficient mating material times out draws, against insufficient material.

The 50 move draw occurs on the second players 50th move (100 moves total), after the last pawn move or capture. If a pawn is moved or a capture is made the count simply starts over. If the players have made many moves without a pawn move or capture simply look for either one and do simple math.

IE: 50. Rxe1 Black makes the first move, so it will end on whites 50th move. 50.Rxe1 + 50 moves = 100.(whatever white plays except mate)

IE: 50. ...Qxd2 White makes the first move so it will end on blacks 50th move. 50....Qxd2 + 50 moves = 100. ....(whatever black plays except mate) Not positive but a mate should take precedence.
