How to begin?

Hi.
I play the second week.

Logic helps to win sometimes.
But I arrive to play with better players and I do mistakes.

Every game is unique.
I can't memorize each one to progress.
The mistakes are different each game, not the same to avoid them.

Begin with reading some book?
Which? The real game is never 100% the same as example in the book 🥲

5' and 10' are not for beginners?
If I lose them often
continue to try or play only slow games?

Thanks

I play chess for 7 years and I never tried to improve my game until a month ago. Now I started to practice with puzzles, I didn’t get the result yet but I have patience… I never thought reading a chess training book 📕 Do you think it is useful? And I wanted to say that Blitz games or for the high level.. We should play rapid 10’, 10/5, 15/10 games are more better

Here's some help:

1. Do puzzles

1.1 Look at checks, captures and threats

2. Play only a few games a day best is longer time controls (I am open to playing friendly unrated training games)

3. Study one opening with white; one with black

3.1 Using resources like videos and books are good

3.2 Getting a coach is also helpful

4. And have fun, just keep trying and you will get better

happy

Thank you guys for suggestions!

I have bought a book. One of.
One that fastest arrived from Amazon
Levy Rozman

I have red one page,
and when tried to play for understand what I red
it was not the same as in the book. 😁

Especially playing white and than black so high confusion.

Blitz, yes, I lose for now.
But I see some beginners play.
Maybe they are not beginners?

You really have patience, 7 years!
I don't.

Did not pay yet for practice many puzzles
Do not want to play more because payed 😁

If I will feel I am clever enough..

Go here in this blog called Chess Tips, Annotated Games, And Openings and check what you may be looking for and I’ll be updating this when I get the chance to. It may say unfinished, but that’s just a technical issue. Read this only for those people who know I am on ios I managed to make this because in a club I found a blog link and I clicked and I found the option to make a blog.

Maybe you post in your own language and let us do the translating, we talk to you in your language. Because our translated "Italian, or Czech" is probably better than your translated English.

Don't listen to any list of advices.

Don't listen to low rated players, they only repeat what they think is true.

Just play Rapid, and "sit on your hands", as in, focus on not playing first move you see.

Once you can play whole games without donating stuff for free and for no other reason than your hands being out of control, you can bother learning chess stuff.

Hi

Hi, how are you?
You cannot start with 5 mins or 10 mins. Each game you play should last at least half an hour to 45 minutes. Do not use a clock. If you have to use a clock, use an hour each for all the moves. Play against someone better than you. Never someone who is worse because they can teach you nothing.

Focus first on getting all your pieces into the game. Not many pawn moves. Try to allow your pieces to control squares on the board. Most of all, learn from those you play.

Don't memorize moves that you read about. Try to understand *why* a particular move is made.
