taseredbirdinstinct, that is a different thread, and the link you sent to it did not appear on my phone, so I thought you were talking about this thread.

Yes, I admit that I accidently forgot to mention the thread.

Jalex13
Exactly, so why are you calling me a liar when it was your mistake that made me think you were referring to this thread! My god this is pointless. I just cannot with you people.
Jalex13
The context of the insult doesn’t matter, it’s still an insult no matter how you put it into reference to someone else. Omitting sentences doesn’t change the meaning in any way, and I think you know that.

1: Piling up on a pinned piece.

2: Attacking the Kingside

3: Creating Dual Threats by threatening multiple pieces all at once while these pieces that you are threatening lack the sufficient amount of pieces to defend them against attack, A.K.A. a matter involving the number of attackers vs defenders.”

If you think that these are the only ways to punish mistakes, you have a long way to go for chess. Exploiting a bad opening and getting a slight advantage doesn’t matter if you hang a queen three moves later.

Insert I think I’m going now, tell me if anything I said was crazy as he inferred (I’m genuinely baffled by him), that I was deflecting arguments, lying and using diversion tactics.

Your post contradicted his, explain that one away.

Wrong, an insult is something intended to bring someone down and say something bad about the person for the sake of doing it, which is an act of vanity that I don't engage in.

Jalex13
How can you say you don’t engage in it when you just did? I even quoted it. What is it you are really saying?
Jalex13
My post did contradict his, yes. I assumed something and was wrong.

I agree that making a mistake after getting an advantage on the opponent nullifies the advantage, such as hanging a queen without sufficient sacrificial intent.

The negative comments I made about you don't count as insults, because the intent wasn't to create insults, you were wrong for taking NervesofButter's side, the best we can do now is move on and admit that it was a mistake siding with NervesofButter despite him being a one off bad person.

You seem fine for now.

NervesofButter is right. He could have phrased it better and nicer, but he’s 100% right.

Jalex13
It wasn’t a mistake taking sides with him, because he was completely honest with you. I admitted my mistake, I’m not afraid to do that, but he was right.

Also, if the intent of those negative comments aren’t to insult, then what are they for? To raise your own self esteem and social confidence?

The information that I was presented here is useful to me. My next step is to learn the basic principles of each opening while only placing a very small emphasis on the most basic of analysis in order to make sure I know what is and isn't sound opening choices, as I am far too lacking in skill to pay much attention to middlegame analysis.

NervesofButter's claim was that I wasn't attempting to learn basic opening principles, but that is the exact purpose of this thread, so he jumped the horse and assumed that I wasn't in the process of trying to learn basic opening principles. I can now move on to learn basic tactics and basic opening principles within each opening.

Jalex13
What do you mean when you say “which each opening”? Are you saying you plan to learn a multitude of openings? If so, I would advise you to learn general opening principles.

They are one and the same thing.

I eat to live. Don’t really have a favorite dish, I just eat to stay healthy and fit.
