HOW TO GET TO 1000 ELO

This can help you , many players have improved by this . I think this is perfect guide to reach 1000 elo ( few have reached , others on the way ) . This is precise to the point and effective , if it works for you do let me know, i would love to hear your improvement news .

Firstly, don't try and learn on blitz. Blitz doesn't give you enough time to think. You need to have openings memorized and/or spot tactics fast in blitz.
Learn with slower games. Try Rapid. Study and learn some openings. Do puzzles so you can spot some of the tricks and tactics that are involved in solving the puzzles.
And finally watch a good speedrun of a master player who explains what they are doing and WHY they are doing it. Daniel Naroditsky has some good ones. His are not the most exciting but they are the most sound. There are others that do tricks and traps but that can be learned later.
You could learn a few tricks and traps. They help with spotting tactics in other situations too. Also if nothing else you can learn how not to fall into them.
The most common trick at your level would be scholar's mate. That is a way to beat someone new to chess in 4 moves. It would be a good idea to learn the best moves to PREVENT it. It is easy to do so and anyone 1000 or higher can easily turn a scholar's mate attempt around and have their opponent wishing they had not brought their Queen out so early.
In order to get to 1000, if you play the Italian opening you should study the Fried Liver. It is a sound trap but their are counters to it.
Hope that helps.

I did a lot of lessons. Practiced vs bots early on to give myself a lot of time to think. Then went into rapid and puzzles.
