Get past 1000 in rapid first. For me, it took reaching about 1200 rapid before I was able to get past 1000 blitz. There's always exceptions.
The best piece of advice I can give is to be in a good headspace. Trying to grind in blitz can be really upsetting if things aren't going your way. You start tilting, having negative self talk, and thinking there's no way everyone you are playing find all the best moves. You need to make sure that you are still having fun and if you feel yourself getting upset, don't keep playing - take a break.

I’m on 1000 in blitz, but I heard many masters say to try to relax and not play that fast

I hit 1000 this week, had some big tilts in that time. I'm not saying I am right but my main things that helped me were- 1. Learn a couple of openings for white and black 2. Play fast - The time really pressures the opposition 3. Started playing on a tablet with a bigger screen rather than my phone
Yeah, well im only 718 elo in rapid, so this isnt a guide, it is supposed to be a question on how to reach that milestone
