Improving skills in 3 check game

If you're new on chess.com or you play here for weeks, months or even years but you still haven't tried play 3 check game; this article is for you (If you don't want read everything what I gonna say in the next parts in this article - go down ( point 4) : there is a most important and interesting point)

1. WHAT IS 3 CHECK GAME?

- this variant is able on chess.com platform

- rules: you have to check your opponent's king three times - so that is really simple, satisfying game 

2. IS IT HARD TO LEARN RULES?

- No, of course is not hard - as I said you must check king three times (you do it in every Rapid game )

3. MY STORY & 3 CHECK GAME (WHAT DID THIS GAME CHANGE IN ME)

Right after join chess.com I started follow players and every variant of chess. 3 check game was the most interesting type of chess (then; It's my opinion). I tried once and I loved this one - that's my beginning with this variant

4. THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS THAT YOU NEED TO KNOW - IMPROVING SKILLS

a) Play a lot! - 3 check game has a little difference than rapid game - in rapid your goal is checkmate your opponent but in the 3 check game - you must give your opponent 3 checks. Playing this variant what I'm writing about help you to improve your game. But why? Why should I play a lot? - Actually, 3 check game is short game too. Lots of players has the same theories, strategies. Playing this a lot will help teach you almost all of them - you learn the best moves for situations that you are in.

b) Don't afraid about lose your queen! - I think that this point is really important for everyone who're new in 3 check game. Every chess (rapid) player know that we must checkmate opponent and trying avoid situations when our rooks / queen are in the trouble (we have to protect them). But not in 3 check game. Here every check is important - is your ,,key" to win game. So don't worry after you lose your queen - The most important thing is that you have one point more than your opponent!

c) Take part in tournaments! - That point is similar to point a) - It's helping you learn new tactics. If you'd learn playing this variant you can get rewards - so It could be motivation for you to improve your skills

d) Don't play with one opponent all the time! - If you play with one person It's okay but not when you play with the same person all the time. Remember playing with lots of players learn you more things that playing with one person!

e) Concentrate using pieces like: bishop, queen, knight! - you can use them easy and fast

f) Protect your king! - It's important when you want to win the game -I know that you want

I think another important thing is to take control of the centre during the beginning of your games. By doing this one can develop his pieces and help them reach good positions. One is more likely to give three checks by doing this.
