is 1200 good for a 14 year old who started this summer?

right, i started playing chess for the first time in around 2022 (i only knew how to move the pieces that’s it) but june 2024 was when i started learning chess as a hobby. and i went from 400-1200 in about 2-3 months. is that good for just starting out?

Yes, reaching a rating of 1200 in just a few months is quite impressive, especially considering you started with very little knowledge of the game.
