Bullet is definitely the funnest in my opinion but each different time thing has it’s own rating system

For beginners, the best time control to gain Elo and improve at chess is almost always:

🟩 Rapid, not Bullet or Blitz.

Here's why:
🧠 1. Rapid gives you time to think
Time controls like 10|0, 15|10, or 10|15 let you stop and analyze the position, consider tactics, and learn from mistakes.
As a beginner, thinking about your moves is more important than playing fast.
⚠️ 2. Bullet (1 minute) and Blitz (3–5 minutes) hurt learning
These faster games encourage bad habits, like moving without thinking, missing tactics, or blundering pieces.
They can make you better at speed, but not better at chess understanding.
📈 3. Easier to gain Elo in Rapid
Other beginners also play Rapid, so you’ll face players with similar skill levels.
Since you have more time, your better decisions can lead to more wins, which means more rating gain.
