Kingside attack defended

An easy win for me. (I played black)

Educational in how early kingside attacks are risky. The reason for posting is that many beginners have trouble defending against these sorts of attacks.

This particular opponent tried to win with a knight sacrifice.

Well played, a nice example of breaking in the centre (9.e5) to repel a flank attack. This game still demonstrates the dangerous nature of being stormed even when it is unjustified as very accurate play is often required to refute the attack. Here 10.Bg4 by you is an extremely natural move which could have either left you with a severe disadvantage or allowed your opponent a very nice checkmate... 11.exf6! Bxd1?? 12.Bh7+ Kh8 13.fxg7#

It was a 5+5 game, so I'm not sweating not seeing the best reply.
