Have you ever wonder "Why am I can never play properly, always make a mistake?". Well don't worry, I am here for your help.

In this very first Episode, we will learn how to checkmate with 2 rooks.

Please note that this series is made form my experience, and it will be not-so-correct. You can test again if you want.

Mate with 2 rooks is very easy. The 2 rooks drive the opponent's king to the edge of the board and checkmate it there. A rook closes off a file or rank and the other gives check on the neighbouring one which drives the king back

The rooks cuts of the fourth and fifth rank. Now the black king is deprived of space. It just need to wait
The king defends by counterattacking the rook. We move it to another side. We move that rook to the b-file so as it not block away the advancement of its coworker
We continue to keep checking the king. It can only move closer to the edge of the board, which is good for us. The final position is quite tricky, because we can't deliver checkmate on g8 or the king will take our rook.
We move the rook to another side. Black is forced to move to e8. Then we checkmate the king
