I just lost a game in 8 moves. Not bragging. Just sorta humiliated and need to share my pain.

I once beat a 2000+ player in nine moves, in an OTB tournament game.

Gibeau (three times champion of France) once lost in four moves.

Isn't that the first game in Chernevs classic 1001 miniatures?  Or whatever its called?

Pretty sure the well known Gibaud-Lazard game didn’t actually happen

Thanks man. Embarrassingly, I never even saw it coming.  I was defending other moves and, well... I'm a noob, I know it, but still I should have seen that.

A Monkey can't see anything playing in the Snow.

One does not learn how to shoot hoops without missing a lot of practice shots.....  And as beginner/novice there is lots of room for improvement and the thrill of learning.
