My elo has been dropping due to no practice bc of a busy schedule…

I looked at one game, a 15 10 time control, which you just lost owed to many wild blunders. Throughout most of the game, you moved in only a second or two.

Look at the position below. Ask yourself to find the absolutely worst move you could make in the position. I think it's not too hard.

I can't understand how you could have played your next move. Did you premove 6..Ne8 ?? You don't need to do that in 15 10.

 
 When you take the time to play a slower time control game, I suggest taking advantage of the time you do have. 
 
People talk about checklists. It's really quite simple. It only takes a few seconds.
 
  • The most important thing is to take a look at what your opponent did before you think about what you want to do.
 
  • Ask yourself if your opponent made a threat to your queen or your king.
 
  • Ask yourself if any other pieces of yours or your opponents are hanging.
 
Now that you know that, think about what you can do.
 
There's a lot more but if you just start there, your rating will quickly climb.
