Nelson is impossible to beat for intermediate players?

I was able to beat Nelson at around 500 ELO. I just don't see why he's so difficult
Playing black against Nelson is very hard in the opening. And, as one other person said, he's a good bot for forcing you to consider blunders.
i beat nelson at 200 elo but it took 3 attempts
I find Nelson is good for blunder checking, if I sit on my hands and think before moving he's pretty beatable.
This is what I found too. Just check what he's threatening every move and defend against it. His threats are pretty shallow, so usually any defense will do. Eventually he'll just drop a piece.
