I’m new to chess and started with puzzles and playing bots and was doing alright. I have begun playing 10 minute games against real people and am finding playing with the time constraints creates a wholly different game stress and leads to blunders I’d not have made against a bot. I’m sure this is normal.
Is there a way to play against the bots with a pseudo clock timer showing? This would allow me to practice with the time constraints imposed by the clock and I believe this would help my game progress. I want the clock on both the bot and me. I realize the bot clock would be artificial but so are the “mistakes” made by the bot so AI could add a clock to the bots play to make it more realistically human. Or maybe not…
Yes, under the Custom option you can add a time control, from a list of available ones. Though, I don't think the bots actually use much time.
