The values given to each piece is accurate. A knight is worth 3 pawns. A bishop is worth 3 pawns (some might give it a fractionally higher value). A rook is worth 5 pawns. A queen is worth 9 pawns. The value of the pawn might be increased in the later stages of the game.
Those are the values of the pieces for players that use all the pieces about equally well. Each beginner might have their own values based on how well they use the pieces.
