Practice Opponent: Real Player vs Computer

Well do you plan to play real people or the ai forever. In the 1st case you'll want experience playing real people.Β

especially at lower levels
but at the end of the day, i play people because i get more enjoyment out of it
playing comp does very little in terms of enjoyment
fwiw my coach told me flat out to minimize/avoid playing computer
it does very little to prepare against human opponents and my goal was to improve via otb classical games

My question is, do I get more (or less) value playing actual players vs computer with a known ELO? I realize that real people will probably have a lot more variation which could lead to a more intersting game, overall. However, my goal is to improve my game by working on a specific defense (Pirc) and working on techniques to set up and/or recognize winning trades.
I spend 3-4 hours a day playing tactic puzzles and play a few games every day to break the monotony. I have played about 200 ganes this month, since I have decided to pick the game back up after 25-30 years.
