Greetings,
I have been working on a chess variation aimed at making the game less frustrating and more educational for new players.
The idea is to limit the number of moves a player has to choose from while at the same time presenting some reasoning for each move.
I decided to give the player 3 (adorable) virtual advisors that each present one move with reasoning to the player. The player then only has to decide which reasong and therefore which move is the most convining. At the beginning of the game the reasoning mainly gives you the name of the opening but as the game progresses it will generate tactical concepts (all fully algorithmic).
I uploaded a little showcase video on youtube where I play a couple of random moves against stockfish to give you an idea.
I still have some ideas for this project and am thinking about integrating with some chess platform ;). I am also still working on the reasoning aspect of the game which is the hardest part, but I'm already quite happy with the progress so far.
Please let me know what you think
