Puzzles are causing me to tear my hair out

Puzzles are a load of grief. My only advice is to not skip the failed ones, analyse them. Your puzzle ratings not far off mine to be fair. Good work 👍🙌

And this is a problem, because I didn't have a lot of hair to begin with.
But yeah, puzzles are driving me bananas. 🍌 It isn't often obvious whether I am supposed to A) press for checkmate, or B) engage in a capture extravaganza that after several wild and wacky trades leaves me *slightly* ahead in material. It takes me awhile to stare at the puzzle and come up with solutions, so not many points for solving. But boy oh boy the points go buh-bye mighty quick when I miss.
Sometimes, there is more than one solution - and I guess the wrong one. I still get a pittance of points, but technically failed the test.
Anyway, First World problems. Carry on...
I honestly agree so much on puzzles being annoying. Most times when I miss a puzzle I lost 10-16 points. Once I even lost 21

You often have to check for alternative lines.
Then go for the line that's most forced so as to gain a definite advantage.
Beginning players often see a great combination, but forget to check all of the opponent's responses - not just defense moves but also counterattacks, hail mary's, desperados etc.
With total-board awareness your intuitive sense for puzzles will greatly increase.

That’s good effort man, keep it up. Puzzles are a frustrating experience but you will eventually develop accurate pattern recognition, visualization, calculation skills and board vision.
Even after 10,000 puzzles I still have no clue what is going on and I don’t know how many times I have tilted?
Performance wise, they have carried over to my games and I have hit all new rating highs this week, so just keep at it as part of your daily routine.
Its also the trick to beating stronger players as well.

I've been from 2200 to 1950 and back to 2200 last few days. Puzzles are like that girlfriend you know is trouble but you can't live without 🤣🤣.

I didn't do any puzzles for a while then started up again. Great success for a couple of days then CRASH.
I could be easily convinced there's a deliberate cruel malevolence at work.
